The World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) has introduced a new plan geared to deal with
the dangers of climate change to cocoa sustainability.
This will be achieved by revitalizing and improving the relationships between the private and public sectors. The WCF hopes to elevate the production of cocoa among small
manufacturers in countries such as Ghana, Liberia , the Ivory Coast, and the
Dominican Republic.
The private sector, USAID and ACDI / VOCA will come together
to contrive a comprehensive strategy that helps farmers use innovative practices
of cultivation, R&D of plant material, new agroforestry models, and methods to
adjust amongst changing weather patterns.
